Super Unique Beast

Meet Beth

I've always been a storyteller, "it's in my bones", as they say. I grew up in the remote Appalachian hills of Virginia where everyone has some kind of interesting story, so here's a little bit of mine:

My dad was a coal miner, my mom was a prison guard, and my brother worked on the railroad. So, naturally I wanted to be an artist! Wait - what? Yes, as you can imagine, that idea wasn't exactly embraced by my peers, but I was determined. I had big dreams and a major creative spark so I put it to use.

The big "aha" moment happened by discovering graphic design. I realized I could use digital tools to successfully build a career around my creative talents. After graduating college, I started out by developing artwork for several musical clients such as Dolly Parton (met her in person - she looks like a life size Barbie) and Wynonna Judd. Then I transitioned into the corporate world and have been developing marketing/sales collateral for services and products for over 20 years.

As time passed, I searched for a way to unleash all my superpowers into one great personal project... and I found it.

I created a children's book series called Super Unique Beast and it's my absolute favorite thing. I've been able to share my stories with children and see firsthand the joy it brings and the difference it makes. These experiences really prove how much human connection and great storytelling matters. It was such a big part of my culture growing up and I'm so proud to continue that tradition. I'm excited about the journey ahead and can't wait to see how my story continues. Always looking forward to the next page, you never know what adventures await!
